Leveraging senior-level analytical skills and knowledge supports the compensation function in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of compensation programs, including variable pay and/or productivity incentive programs. Provides operational support to People Business Partners (PBPs) on compensation initiatives including job role definitions, grading, identification and selection of appropriate market peers, market pricing of positions, and job requisitions. Interprets policy and program guidelines to educate PBPs and employees and comply with regulatory requirements. Manages employee recognition and service anniversary programs to foster employee goodwill.

- Ideally experience in PayFactors or PayScale (they merged recently)
- Ideally recent experience in Workday
- Financial Services or Insurance background is a plus (A real estate background would be a plus, plus!
- Experience in a start-up or re-organization environment
Length of Position: 6 months and then possible conversion or extension
Target Bill Rate: $55-60/hr, dependent upon experience.
Conversion Target Annual Salary: $125k- 130k dependent upon experience, with a 12% annual bonus target.
Position Location: This position is open to being 100% remote. Still a preference for local candidates and candidates in EST.

Expected interview process:
1st Round – 45 minutes – the hiring manager
2nd Round – two 30-minute interviews w/2 different People Business Partners
– 30 minutes – Sr. Compensation Analyst-Total Rewards
See the Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Programs and Projects: Represents Compensation in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of merit, productivity-based incentive plans, and retention compensation programs. Coordinates with PBPs to facilitate cyclical salary review processes.
- Position Evaluation: Annually completes market evaluations for non-exempt, exempt, and management positions. Assesses market and peer data to support compensation offers and promotions. Tracks increase spending against the budget. In partnership with PBPs, verifies job leveling for newly created or acquired positions.
- Surveys: Identifies and recommends an annual menu of surveys for participation and purchase. Completes and submits data, and analyzes data when returned.
- Employee Recognition and Service Anniversary Program Administration. Partner with the vendor to design and develop programs designed to provide recognition and awards for employee service and outstanding performance. Champions engagement and utilization of the recognition platform. Provide analysis and reporting to monitor usage and ensure equitable distribution.
- Reporting and Validation: Oversight of monthly and quarterly incentive compensation processing, validation, analysis, and distribution of incentive compensation reports and bonus payments. Partner with People Operations to produce efficient and accurate reporting on a timely basis. Provide ongoing standard and ad-hoc reports to assist analysis of historical, current, and prospective changes in the compensation environment.
- Compensation and People Team Committee: Supports creation of presentations, supporting analysis, and charts/graphics.

- Compensation philosophies, compensation analysis techniques, Excel formulas, mathematical calculations
- Familiarity with laws and regulations that affect base pay, variable pay, and/or equity programs and practices, including tax implications
Your Skills and Abilities:
- Analytical skills, preferably a high proficiency with Excel modeling & formulas
- Experience with compensation methods
- Assist with drafting legal documents that govern compensation programs
Prior Work Experience
Education and Credentials
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred: Master’s Degree, Concentration in MBA, HR, Finance
- Other Certifications: CCP (preferred), CEP (optional)
