SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, provides professional Human Resources support to the organization, build and maintaining effective relationships with employees and managers at all levels to assist in gaining awareness of employee and business needs. Provides consultation to all levels of employees. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.’s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help streamline and build consistency with polices and procedures
Help create and maintain performance plans, succession plans and employee engagement programs
Administer and monitor Worker’s Compensation claims
Administer and track LOA’s, including EDD Disability, Paid Family Leave and Paid Parental Leave Claims
Oversees implementation of new HRIS
Conducts audits
Collaborates with HR team on learning and development
Coach and partner with supervisors and managers to resolve employee relations issues
Reviews disciplinary action requests and documentation; research employee relations file to determine any prior disciplinary action and recommends a level of discipline
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback
Effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures
Provide back up and support to Payroll Coordinator by assisting with bi-weekly processing.
Remains current regarding changes in federal, state and city employment laws.
Other duties may be assigned.

This is accomplished through various means: ensuring appropriate training is conducted and documented, policies and procedures are maintained and followed, employee concerns are handled in an appropriate manner, and our systems and programs are maintained and upgraded to meet the needs of our employees and customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or Certificate in Human Resources; four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR/SPHR or other HR Certificate preferred.
