Job Description
About the Position
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will lead and execute recruiting for manufacturing Production Associates in our approximately 500-person manufacturing plant, located in Cedar Rapids. The work is fast-paced and requires consistent, quality execution of all related processes including sourcing, screening, selection, and successful candidate start-up, as well as management of system measures and tracking. It requires recruiting passion and experience; critical thinking; willingness to roll up your sleeves and work under pressure; and ability to work well with others to manage a wide variety of positive relationships. The position also provides great visibility, as we are looking for your fresh ideas and improvement mindset to help us tackle and solve complex business challenges and improve our processes.
Objective: Best in class Talent Acquisition processes and systems that raise the bar on the candidate hiring experience, quality of hires, employee retention, and system metrics.
Your job responsibilities and impact
Execute and develop hiring process/cycle to fill Plant Associate positions with consistent quality standards including attracting and sourcing candidates, screening and pre-employment assessments, selection interviews, successful onboarding, and other hiring processes.
Represent the Associated Materials employer brand and build sourcing, social media, and hiring networks to elevate the candidate hiring experience, reinforce our long-term commitment to the local market in which we operate, and improve hiring decisions.
Identify & communicate continuous improvement opportunities and strategies.
Manage relationships and accountability with external agencies, background check vendors, and others, with understanding on how to use them for best quality and cost.
Create, maintain, and use accurate and timely assessment metrics regarding hiring and related processes.
Work with site management to plan and execute successful recruiting programs and events.
Work with plant, HR, and talent teams regarding talent acquisition processes and improvements.
Qualifications
The qualifications you ll bring
3+ years of Talent Acquisition/Recruiting experience with a deep understanding of topics related to hiring top talent for a growing company.
Understanding of full cycle of recruiting in a fast paced, high-volume environment (manufacturing experience a plus).
Demonstrated problem solver with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-directed, with a drive for results and sense of urgency.
Experience and proficiency in creating and using data analytics, tracking, reports, and metrics.
Excellent collaboration skills, to interact with candidates, employees, and external partners with diverse backgrounds and working styles.
