We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Automation Tester (w/ Java and Selenium knowledge) to join our team working with a Federal client. The position will be a remote role open to US citizens residing in the United States with a Secret security clearance. This role is for an automation tester who will support and independently complete test orchestration across the SDLC which will require problem solving using analysis, experience, and decision making.
Responsibilities and Duties
Translate business requirements and processes into technical requirements and configuration settings specific to software application solutions.
Demonstrated experience with creating test automation strategy, using functional scenarios and translating them into effective test automation scripts
Creating and using test automation framework such as BDD, TDD, etc. is a MUST
Creating automation scripts for regression testing, and deep knowledge of programming for Selenium with Java
Independently own a work stream, reviewing, and potentially directing the work of more junior staff.
Recording results in the system, logging and tracking defects in the system and coordinating resolution with development team and functional leads.
Must be able to work independently with little to no daily supervision, is a team player, open to ideas and learning.
Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually to support clients.
Work as a team member closely with the Project Manager, Business Analyst, Technical lead and others to ensure implementations are completed on time and within budget
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Solid Programming experience with Java / JavaScript / Python
Knowledge of Jenkins, Maven, etc. is a must
Ability to work with US Federal clients and possess a Secret clearance
Skilled in verbal, written and oral communication
Strong team player with a great attitude
Flexibility and willingness to go beyond the call of duty (a go getter)
Ability to take ownership and drive issues to closure
Education Requirement:
4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)
