Medical Office Hiring for Medical Billing Specialist Job at Hillsborough, NJ Full Time

We are a well-established medical office looking for a new employee to join our team. Our company is looking for individuals who are independent and self-motivated. We are currently seeking a full time Medical Billing Specialist

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for posting all charges. For instance: anesthesia, office visits, pathology and hospital visits.
2.Review all EOB’s and RA to confirm that correct payment was initially received.

3.Send appropriate appeals and documentation t payors to ensure correct claim payments.

4. Researches and corrects all denials received by payors.

5. Liable for Accounts Receivable (Patient Collections)
6. Responsible for balancing payments received from all locations and handing off to manager daily.
7. Assist patients with any billing questions/issues.
6. Documents all correspondence with patients, insurance carriers, and vendors.

8.. Other responsibilities as needed

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, some college and/or CPC Certification is preferred

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a health care organization.

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of billing practices and clinical policies and procedures.
2. Knowledge of coding and clinical operating policies.

3. Knowledge of medical terminology.

4. Knowledge of clinical policies and procedures.

5. Knowledge of computer systems, programs, and spreadsheet applications.

Skills:

1. Proficient skills in computer programs.
2. Skill in using a calculator.

3. Skill in oral and written communication.

4. Skill in time management and organization.

Abilities:

1. Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.
2. Ability to read and interpret medical charts.
3. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.

4.Ability to maintain confidentiality of all business/work information.

5 Ability to communicate effectively and work with others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
