Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Assists in onboarding with candidates ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies.
Processes all candidates through ATS and conducts employee background and drug screens as well as other pre-employment requirements.
Educates associates and assists with their benefit elections.
Provides customer service, both in-person and by telephone, and answers questions from employees regarding Human Resources issues, rules, and regulations.
Manages training tasks in the HRIS system.
Provides support for regular audits of employee records and weekly reporting requirements.
Upkeep and maintain personnel files and records.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, payroll, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; staff wellness; and training and development; Employee handbooks, job aids, and SOPs.
Facilitates new hire orientation and assists the HR Team with developing and implementing employee recognition programs.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager and /or the VP of HR.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
SHRM-CP credential preferred.
Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google
