How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
This Specialist role is a vital part of the Human Resources Business Partner team. Successful candidates will have a strong instinct for employee experience, be creative thinkers, and possess an ability to be proactive and anticipate change. The Specialist will be intellectually curious and analytical who will be relied upon to execute the teams insights and analytics strategy, helping the team make smarter and more informed business decisions. The Specialist will also support strategic initiatives including development of strategies, detailed plans and measurable outcomes, cross-divisional coordination, and any analysis or research needed to quantify results. Reports to the Director Human Resources for Technical Operations.
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and to communicate with various levels of leadership, establish work priorities and to work independently
Performs analysis for benchmarking, business case development, and strategy recommendations for the TechOps HR team
Develops recommendations based on analysis and synthesis of information from multiple sources
Fosters an inclusive and collaborative team culture while having a high level of business maturity and confidentiality
Highly analytical and strategic thinker passionate about delivering results and value
Proficient at developing deep, productive relationships both inside and outside of the division
Capable of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Effective and consistent delivery of human resources services including: headcount reporting and analysis, support for sourcing and selection, employee relations, performance management programs, organizational effectiveness, compensation and HR expertise
Responsible for performing various administrative duties and tasks as needed
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
Bachelors degree, preferably in a business-related field, or equivalent job experience
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience within business or HR function
Strong demonstrated analytical skills and be extremely proficient in Excel and Word. Experience with Delta HR systems and/or familiarity with Delta’s work groups and organizational structure is a plus
Self-starter, organized and able to effectively coordinate, prioritize, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Intellectual curiosity that translates into a continuous drive to improve the business
Outstanding quantitative and written and verbal communication skills, with experience articulating complex concepts to leadership teams
Strong relationship building skills across a broad platform and level of employees
Ability to multi-task and work cross-divisionally
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
Willing and able to work flexible hours and travel as required
(If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in present position
