Position Summary
For more than 100 years, Purina has led the charge in revolutionizing pet food production and its ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. By 1956, through innovative engineering, we literally reshaped Pet Care, introducing Dog Chow® as the first extruded dry food. We’re still at it today, with Tidy Cats®, the lightweight cat litter champion of the world and our new Ultra-Premium brands, Beyond® and Just Right® pet food.
As the Associate Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, attendance metrics, benefits programs, employee records and plant employee functions. You will work closely across the facility to design and implement plant policies, procedures, and measurements including compensation, onboarding, retention, career planning, wellness, and diversity and inclusion.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate the recruiting program for plant positions to align with the factory budget
Support employee engagement through supporting strategic planning and operating standards
Support and provide input to factory leadership and employees regarding questions on company rules, policies, and procedures
Collaborate and communicate cross functionally to ensure HR processes are supported and developed
Assist with training, benefits programs, employee records and plant employee functions
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
3+ years of Human Resources experience in a union environment
2+ years of leadership experience
