Job Description
Infinite Communications is looking for an experienced Field Supervisor for our rapidly growing construction company. Strong management skills required.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for field construction production, planning and implementation
· Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines and thrive on day to day operational pressure with both excellent supervisory expertise and sound people skills
· Ensures compliance and documentation of all applicable safety requirements
· Oversees the Field Construction Operation in providing direction and oversight for contractors and in house employees at the worksite
· Ensures financial and any production database including billing/invoicing/timekeeping are kept accurately
· Works and resolves issues with the contractor and client
· Analyzes customer and operational needs and work with management to implement tactics
· Oversight of material warehousing and materials
· Responsible for project job cost, maintenance and manpower scheduling
· Determines and communicates acceptable variances in procedures for specific projects
· Identifies new process improvements and technical changes that address customer communication needs
Qualifications:
· Must have Outside Plant with Coax and Fiber build experience. Node split experience a plus.
· Minimum of five (5) years of progressive telecommunications experience and experience overseeing projects or production efforts
· Familiar with all facets of OSP management, including quoting, construction and delivery
· Familiarity of fiber optic and coax designs and principles
· Understanding of permit processes, locates and working with municipal agencies and utilities
· Demonstrated ability to think pro-actively with excellent problem-solving skills
· Proven interpersonal skills and customer focus approach
· Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations
· Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Project, Excel, and Word.
· Able to consistently meet or exceed deadline expectations
· Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a construction organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
· Handles challenges and deadlines well
· Capable of supervising teams on multiple construction sites and schedules
· Adept in understanding and reading construction documents
· Business minded and able to maintain a commercial focus
· Willing to work long hours
· Prepared to work outside as well as an office setting
· Must have verifiable references
· Frequent travel may be required
