TITLE: Accountant
STATUS: Full Time DEPARTMENT: Business Office
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SUMMARY: Prepare and maintain accounting, reports related to financial and human resources activities within PRIDE, Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Accounting required.
EXPERIENCE: Accounting, Non-Profits, office management; computers and human resource functions.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to perform all accounting functions, with comprehensive understanding of GAAP (accrual based) financial reporting.
Ability to work with fund accounting systems and develop reports and programs as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively, train, supervise, and evaluate employees.
Ability to critique systems/procedures, and take needed corrective action.
Ability to work effectively within a team and employ excellent time management skills.
Knowledge of QuickBooks a must.

* Possession, distribution, sale, transfer, or use of alcohol or illegal drugs in the workplace, while on duty, or while operating employer-owned vehicles or equipment
* Fighting or threatening violence in the workplace
* Boisterous or disruptive activity in the workplace
* Negligence or improper conduct leading to damage of employer-owned or customer-owned property
* Insubordination or other disrespectful conduct
* Violation of safety or health rules
* Smoking in prohibited areas
* Sexual or other unlawful or unwelcome harassment
* Possession of dangerous or unauthorized materials, such as explosives or firearms, in the workplace
* Excessive absenteeism or any absence without notice
* Unauthorized absence from work station during the workday
* Unauthorized use of telephones, mail system, computer systems, or other employer-owned equipment
* Unauthorized disclosure of information in violation of confidentiality policies
* Violation of personnel policies
* Unsatisfactory performance or conduct
Employment with PRIDE is at the mutual consent of PRIDE Inc. agency and the employee, and either party may terminate that relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without advance notice.
