Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities
· Assist in the preparation of the company budget to help meet all financial goals
· Assist in monthly financial close and reporting
· Manage the accounting of event settlements
· Review show settlements to ensure accurate accounting and related posting to general ledger and coordinate with operations/events team to gather and review relevant support
· Manage accounting team members
· Manage the processing and organizing of invoices to ensure bills are paid and received in a timely manner
· Review and approve check registers and wire/ach payments
· Assist corporate controller and managers with account reconciliations, ad hoc reporting, and schedule of fixed assets
· Review ledgers, profit and loss, and balance sheets for accuracy
· Record financial information and provide summaries when necessary
· Prepare daily cash reports and monitor bank balance
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
· Verify tax identification numbers for new vendors
· Recommend actions to stop misuse of budget and reduce loss
· Prepare and/or process general journal entries with appropriate approval
· Maintain accounts by recording, identifying and verifying financial transactions
· Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained
· Attend conferences, workshops and other educational meetings to stay up-to-date on new technologies
· Collaborate with others in the accounting department to ensure all financial actions are accurate
· Other duties as assigned
· Report to and assist Vice President of Accounting
Senior Accountant Requirements
· Bachelors Degree in Accounting a must, MBA or MAcc preferred
· 5 years of experience in accounting
· Supervisory experience
· Technical knowledge of accounting regulations, policies and procedures
· Strong computer skills including accounting databases, Excel and other software
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadline
· Ability to work independently and on team tasks
· Ability to thoroughly analyze and research information
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
