Description:
The MAS MP Liaison will work closely with NYS Department of Health, local and state officials, and medical providers to assist the success of the NYS Medicaid transportation program. The MP Liaison is responsible for all medical provider interactions in their assigned region, with a primary focus on health systems. The MP Liaison will meet regularly with medical providers to address issues, provide in-service on the MAS system, review requirements of area contracts, and ensure compliance. • Foster & cultivate relationships between MAS and medical providers, with a primary focus on health systems and high volume medical facilities, within region • Implementation of all parts of the MAS Concierge Program across all applicable locations within the assigned health system(s). o Develop and maintain a health system directory o Develop, maintain, and implement an ongoing training program o Identify need for, facilitate, and support success of- Preferred Provider Opportunities (PPO) at health system’s facilities o Ensure efficiencies of NYS 2015/2020 Form process and approval procedures o Develop facility discharge plan of care, transportation request process o Identify need for, facilitate, and support success of- on-site bus pass agency program within health system facilities o Maintain on-site office hours • Make regular contact with medical providers via in-person/phone/electronic connection • Meet with key personnel regularly in-person within assigned health systems • Educate on the efficient use of the MAS online system • Review Medicaid policies and procedures with medical provider stakeholders • Maintain records of all communication with regional medical providers • Document and monitor MP Liaison contact database • Provide guidance and offer direction in the development of new regional initiatives • Maintain regular on-site “office hours” at health system facilities • Maintain records of all communication with stakeholders • Maintain documentation and log interactions o In-person meetings
