The Equipment Manager is responsible for leading a team of Drivers to transport equipment, aggregate and materials. The Fleet Manager is responsible for collaborating closely with the Mechanic Shop Foreman to ensure proper and timely maintenance of equipment. Some responsibilities of the Fleet Manager include the following items: Safety, Financial, Employee Relations, Fleet Management, DOT Compliance, Fleet Maintenance, Inventory, Shop Organization, Professional Development and Professional Relationships.
The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing the transportation logistics to support the field on all construction projects. The Fleet Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Field Superintendents, Foremen, Drivers, Mechanics, and Vendors to ensure that budgets and deadlines are kept. The Fleet Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding company standards with all Fleet related obligations. The Fleet Manager will promote professional communication and partner with the Vice President to complete the work per specifications. The Fleet manager will be responsible for creating a department whose service and reliability make us the company of choice for our clients and employees. A fleet manager you will perform many organizational and management tasks to monitor, maintain and improve the company’s transportation processes.
