THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic HR Special Projects Coordinator, with a diverse set of experiences to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, build transformative relationships, and eliminate educational inequities to advance social justice.
To put it simply, you will work directly with the Chief Talent Officer to support organizational strategy, initiatives, and culture.
THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:
SPECIAL PROJECTS: 50% of your time – where you will be coached, pushed, and grown
Project manage a cross-functional team to develop detailed work plans that align to Talent Annual Goals;
Create and implement communication systems around various project updates to ensure critical stakeholders are informed as needed;
Manage Talent communications to various stakeholders (both internal and external);
Proactively exploring and devising solutions to complex system-wide gaps in alignment with organizational priorities;
Working directly with the Chief Talent Officer to support organizational strategy, initiatives, and culture;
EXECUTIVE & TEAM MANAGEMENT: 50% of your time – where you will have opportunities to push me and engage critically with an incredibly talented squad
Creating and managing efficient and effective systems for management of Talent Team that maximize fiscal stewardship, accountability, productivity and collaboration;
Managing CTO calendar to ensure I am spending my time effectively, completing expense/travel reimbursements, and completing other administrative tasks to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively;
Planning, coordinating, and participating in leadership and project-specific meetings; capturing key information and next steps, providing strategic advice, and conducting follow-up correspondence;
Performing additional duties as assigned.
A FEW NOTES FROM THE HIRING MANAGER:
I will be screening the applications daily with our Home Office Hiring Manager to find that right person that combines tenacity, drive, skills, personality, mindset, etc.

THE MUST HAVES
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
Minimum 3 years working experience
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
Strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators, organizational goals and standards for customer service
Direct work in cross-functional project management
Systems and process-oriented problem solvers
Able to toggle between leader and team player in pursuit of jaw-dropping results
Resourceful, equity-driven, and will believe those with the least deserve the most
Able to crack a joke or create appropriate levity through stress
Invested in an iron sharpens iron relationship with their manager and teammates
Demonstrated excellence with verbal and written communication skills
Availability to work evenings and/or weekends
Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice, with little to no direction
Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail

THE NICE TO HAVES
Certification in HR (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
3 years of experience managing an office
Previous experience in the Human Resources industry
THE PERKS
Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
Retirement Plans – Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457b Retirement Plan.
Paid Time Off – Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
