Front Desk Representative in Private Practice Optometry

Community-centered and patient-focused optometry office seeks experienced & friendly front desk representative to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Ideal candidate will have PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in a medically-oriented optometry office. We want to hire the right person, so we are not in a rush! The position is actually 2 positions – one for full time and one for part time (perfect for students!)
Primary Duties:
* Welcome customers and display positivity and professionalism in every aspect of the work experience. Practice organization within our paperless electronic records system, communicate insurance benefits, check in and check out clients – all while learning proper procedures and demonstrating efficiency.
* Transfer and collect proper payment for copays and orders
* Assist in placing optical orders for contact lenses and glasses. Assist optical lab in checking in contacts
* Answer phones as primary office communicator
* Work with staff to keep office organized and tidy
* Work directly under office administrator to learn all administrative tasks and follow instructions for cohesiveness in administrative and optical management
Anticipated Hours: 35-40 hours per week (FT) or 8-10 hours (PT)
Pay range is directly related to previous experience in optometry setting
