The California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA) charges the CPPA with protecting Californians’ privacy rights. The CPPA’s responsibilities include: 1) rulemaking in a highly complicated, technical, sometimes contested, and nuanced area; 2) supporting awareness across California’s diverse population on issues related to privacy and data security, including the new rights provided to them by the law; and 3) preparing for meaningful administrative enforcement of those rights.

As the Human Resources Liaison, you will have the opportunity to:
· Serve as a Human Resources expert and provide consultative services to hiring managers
· Participate in projects and assignments that ensure continuous business operations
· Serve as the Training Coordinator
· Research, analyze and process HR requests
· Participate in developing organizational guidelines, processes and policies
Desirable experience:
· Human resources experience, preferably in civil service
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Experience working with high-level management
· Classification and Pay experience
· Familiarity with CalHR and State Personnel Board state rules and regulations
· Experience developing and facilitating training
· Experience working with State Personnel Board and CalHR
