Position Description:
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources in all functions related to human resources and organizational structure within the Chick-fil-A Summerville and Chick-fil-A Goose Creek. This position is ultimately responsible for, but not limited to, hiring and administrative functions within the human resources authority of the organization, as well as assisting in strategy and leadership development functions in partnership with the Director of Human Resources and Assistant Director of Human Resources.
● The Hiring functions for this role include, but are not limited to: interviewing, application processing, onboarding with new and returning team members and leadership, and recruiting (for traditional team members as well as leadership).
● Administrative work for this role includes, but is not limited to: disciplinary record management, employment law knowledge and education to the team, ancillary benefit and major medical health insurance enrollments, assistance with seasonal duties (i.e., corporate scholarship awards, tax record management with employees, overseeing performance review facilitation, and overall record keeping of documentation pertaining to human resources within the organization).
● The Development functions for this role include, but are not limited to: management of performance reviews, team development coaching, leading development meetings, and internal leadership pipeline workshops, as well as employee relations both with individual team members and coaching of operational leadership.
● The Strategy functions for this role include, but are not limited to: policy and procedure development and enforcement, benefits selections, community relationships (i.e., community engagement, speaking engagements, career fair representation, etc.), culture and retention strategy integration throughout the organization, representation within senior leadership meetings, and input into organizational design of the company.
● This position will also be responsible for all other duties as assigned.
● The general expectation for work allocation in this role is:
10% Strategy, 60% Hiring, 10% Leadership Development, 20% Administrative.
Position Requirements:
● Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or related field.
● Preferred: 1-2 years of relevant work experience. 1-2 years of leadership experience.
● Preferred: SHRM certification, or graduate degree in business, human resources, psychology, or related field.
Physical Requirements:
● Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
● Constantly operates a computer and/or other office productive machinery.
● This person frequently communicates with employees who have questions about health insurance, training/development, payroll, etc. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
● This person occasionally needs to be present in operations, requiring standing for 2-5 hours per day, as well as the ability to lift 10-20 pounds at a time.
