Job Description
Make a difference in a young person’s life! We are seeking a Human Resources Manager at the Joliet Job Corps Center in Illinois. Job Corps is a federally funded, residential vocational training program for socioeconomically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24, with over 120 locations across the U.S. The Human Resources Manager role plans, coordinates and manages the personnel services of the Center; recommending new policies and procedures, providing staff training, evaluating staff performance, and implementing organizational and personnel changes as approved by the center director. Currently all responsibilities carried out in social-distanced environment. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field and three (3) years’ experience in HR administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extensive employee relations experience. Proficient in various HRIS platforms. Effective relationship-building skills with students and staff. Information technology proficiency including MS Office.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in HR administration. Training and facilitation skills strongly preferred.
