BlueNovo is currently hiring an HR Generalist that will be responsible for leading the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department in conjunction with the Talent Strategy & Operations Manager, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This individual will partner closely with the Senior Leadership Team to fulfill hiring pipeline and develop and enforce all company policies. This person will also lead HR practices and objectives that creates an employee-oriented, high-performance culture. Strong knowledge of Federal HR law is required. This person will report directly to the Talent Strategy and Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage recruiting for BlueNovo through attracting talent, placing hiring ad, setting & developing training standards and running all hiring procedures.
Train new hires through the onboarding process and existing employees as needed.
Organize and maintain personnel records, update internal HR database (Bamboo) and prepare all HR and onboarding documentation.
Develop and drive the performance management process organizationally.
Administration of the health, 401k, payroll and insurance benefits.
Address employee performance, compensation actions, corrective action plans & grievances with supervisor & employee.
Uphold Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Professional Responsibility.
Conduct employee Disciplinary Counseling Reports and Performance Improvement Plans.
Work closely with managers and finance department on matters related to time reporting, expense policy & business credit cards.
Promote “BlueNovo Togetherness” to create unification for a remote based workforce.
Emphasize and promote employee motivation and rewards & consistently work towards the growth and continued evolution of BlueNovo.
Strong communication skills and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and external contacts is required.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
SHRM Certification preferred
3+ years’ experience in HR field required
Must have experience with hiring & onboarding as well as termination protocol
Very strong professional communication skills
Excellent Time management skills & Documentation skills
Familiarity with developing and writing processes and procedures for an organization
Willingness to take on new tasks as assigned
Personality that is personable and welcoming but also always practiced and professional
Strong knowledge of employment law and Federal HR laws is required
Ability to understand HR laws from state to state is also required, we are a remote organization but we have employees based Nationally.
Job Conditions:
This job will be fully remote, with preference given to a candidate located in the MD/DC/VA region-This person must be willing to travel to our new Headquarters in Richmond, VA as needed.

Job Type: Full-time, generous benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k matching) included.
Pay: $70,000-80,000 per year, salary negotiable based on experience and fit
