Job Description
* Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
* Performs routine tasks required for new hire onboarding such as initiating background check, entering employee data into the HRIS system Oracle ERP, notifying the Office Manager, IT, Compliance, and third-party payroll service (BridgeView).
* Manage non-exempt employee timesheets and submit to third-party payroll service (Consero) on a weekly basis.
* Assist with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to Vice President of Human Capital.
* Responsible for data integrity of the HRIS system Oracle ERP.
* Assist with managing interface with external payroll/benefits provider, ensuring employees receive all benefits of employment.
* Maintains headcount report, organizational chart, and job descriptions.
* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations for New York and California and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience:
* 3+ years of solid HR generalist experience
* Private Equity/Asset Management/VC Industry highly preferred
