Columbia-Greene Community College (C-GCC) seeks confidential
recommendations and nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Student Development,
and Strategic Initiatives. C-GCC seeks an experienced, visionary, and collaborative leader who puts students first and possesses the
knowledge and skills required to lead academic affairs, student development, and enrollment management to greater levels of achievement.
After a four-year tenure at the College, the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs accepted a community
college presidency in Massachusetts, effective July 2023. The position has been reconfigured as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Student
Development, and Strategic Initiatives. Reporting to the Columbia-Greene Community College President, the Vice President for Academic
Affairs, Student Development, and Strategic Initiatives provides engaged, collaborative, and inclusive leadership to the academic and
student services areas of the institution. The Vice President ensures the academic integrity of the College and supports innovations in
programs and methods of delivery that respond to a rapidly changing environment. In addition, the Vice President imparts vision, direction,
and advocacy for a comprehensive array of services that helps Columbia-Greene “meet students where they are.”
Established in 1966 to serve Columbia and Greene Counties, C-GCC is one of 64 institutions in the State University of New York (SUNY).
Located in the state’s scenic and historic Hudson River Valley (30 miles south of Albany and 110 miles north of New Your City), C-GCC
serves more than 2,000 students annually. C-GCC is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and offers a variety of
transfer and career programs leading to the degrees of Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, and Associate
in Occupational Studies, as well as one-year certificate programs and specialized courses geared to community interest. Students may take
classes through traditional face-to-face instruction as well as online or hybrid formats. C-GCC boasts strong retention and completion rates
and excellent job placement of graduates.
