Vice President, Supply Chain
The VP of Supply chain will lead a support structure for inventory, raw materials, supplier networks, and other mostly externally facing systems with on-site and cloud based applications. The VP’s goal is to deliver a supply chain strategy that supports the most efficient production environment and empowers management and their teams to negotiate and work with all relevant third parties. This role will collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organization and manage a team of professionals who are accountable for supply chain and related management.
This VP position will be responsible for overseeing all supply chain professionals in each region of the United States, including oversight of regional managers and supply chain efficiency metrics. They will participate in overall business planning and innovation and must understand the organization’s supply chain strengths and future capabilities.
This individual will work closely with business leaders to drive change and solve operational and workflow problems that cause breakdown in relationships with third parties. The VP is responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by setting and meeting operational goals that are consistent with the vision of the organization as well as be responsible for the supply chain departmental budgets, both capital and operating.
Responsibilities:
Establish supply chain strategy by collaborating with officers and senior management to set organizational vision.
Build and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for maintaining stable supplier and third party relationships across the United States.
Cultivate a team-oriented, problem-solving culture.
Set departmental goals for meeting scalability and growth needs of the company for quickly expanding inventory needs.
Developing and enforcing best strategies surrounding supply chain and relevant supplier relationship policies.
Supply chain management and reporting.
Developing and maintaining supply chain practice documentation.
Developing and advocating for the supply chain budgets and strategic needs.
Remain cognizant of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years overall Supply Chain experience with proven success contributing to profitability by aligning the relationship between business and corporate level supply chain strategy.
Minimum of 5 years of experience building and leading lean, high performance teams across multiple locations.
Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
Ability to gather requirements from multiple stakeholders and translate them into well-defined requirements.
Experience managing inventory management ERPs third party interface systems.
Strong Windows system administration skills.
Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
