POSITION OBJECTIVE
- A General Foremen for Essex General Construction is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of workers engaged in building, remodeling and repairing structures. The foreman’s primary role is to support the Project Superintendent throughout the duration of the project.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a SAFE jobsite
- Onsite point person for EGC safety director and OSHA
- Manage and coordinate all QA/QC efforts on behalf of the project Superintendent
- Coordination of any Essex self-performed activities
- Examines drawings to determine dimensions.
- Daily Foreman’s huddle with field staff
- Interface with suppliers and building inspectors
- Understanding of code requirements
- Conduct safety meetings
- Design and strategize workflow efficiencies
- Quality assurance and quality control of multiple divisions and trades
- Subcontractor management
- Managing short term schedule goals
- Assist Superintendent with daily reports
- Assist Superintendent with material takeoffs, material orders and work schedules
- Take receipt of material deliveries, inventory and securely store

- Able to read Civil, structural, architectural and MEP drawings
