Toddler Teacher:

Lead Teacher qualifications require a CDA or degree in an early childhood related field.

We are looking for a Teacher who:

• Possesses a sincere commitment and passion for the care and education of young children
• Has experience with children in a licensed preschool setting for two or more years
• Strives to be a part of a cohesive team of teachers

Has, or is working toward, a CDA, Associates, or Bachelor’s degree in, or related to, the field of Education or Child Development for a Lead Teaching position. Assistant teacher requirement would be at least two years working in a licensed preschool setting.

Highlighted Job Responsibilities

• Create weekly lesson plans and assessments through Tadpoles
• Provide positive interactions with the Preschool age group of 24 months to 36 months
• Encourage through positive modeling, feelings of empathy and respect for others and the environment
• Provide Families with open communication on a daily basis
• Conduct Family/Teacher Conferences
• Follows the Quality Assurance Health and Safety guidelines of The Goddard School
• Follows the appropriate supervision guidelines including the important step of face to name checks

General Qualifications

A Teacher must meet the qualifications of his/her state and those set forth in the National Standards for hiring (see www.bls.gov), including the following:

• Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
• Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
• Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
• Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
• Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
• Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations

Employment is contingent upon cleared DFPS, DPS, and FBI Background Checks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 – $17.00 per hour
