Position Overview:
Milk Specialties is seeking a dedicated production bagger to join our manufacturing team. The production bagger plays a vital role in the packaging process by efficiently and accurately bagging finished products to meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bagging Operations:
Operate bagging machinery to fill bags with finished products according to production schedules and specifications.
• Quality Assurance:
Ensure that bags are properly filled, sealed, and labeled, adhering to quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
• Material Handling:
Handle bags, pallets, and other packaging materials safely and efficiently, including stacking bags on pallets and preparing them for shipment.
• Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on bagging equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of bagged products, including quantities produced, batch numbers, and production dates.
• Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
• Team
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other production staff, including supervisors, operators, and quality control personnel, to meet production targets and address any issues that may arise during the bagging process.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in manufacturing or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in packaging or production roles preferred.
• Familiarity with bagging equipment and machinery is advantageous.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to withstand strong smells and work in wet environments.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move bags and packaging materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
