Job Summary:
The Senior HR Consultant is responsible for applying business knowledge and HR expertise in assisting clients with a wide range of HR issues. The successful candidate will provide senior support on matters related to recruiting, employee relations, performance management, policy and procedure creation and review, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship with clients and staff.
This is a full time, exempt position.
Job Responsibilities
· Advise clients on best HR management practices.
· Help clients strategically integrate effective HR processes, programs, and practices into their daily operations.
· Create and draft policies and procedures that are compliant with federal, state and local laws.
· Advise clients on federal, state and local legal requirements by remaining current on new and forthcoming legislation for each state in which the client operates.
· Complete assigned HR projects within assigned budget and timeframes.
· Manage and participate in the recruiting and hiring process of staff in conjunction with client requirements and budget.
· Draft or revise Performance Management policies, processes and documentation in accordance with client requirements and advise clients on best practice.
· Provide advice on disciplinary issues, draft supporting documentation and advise on appropriate outcomes.
· Perform internal reviews and audit of current systems, employee documentation, and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
· Travels to local client locations as required for performance of the engagement.
· Provide benefits administration support as required, for example annual open enrollment review/analysis through ongoing administration.
Experience
· A minimum of 5-7 years of HR consulting and/or generalist experience

· Strong knowledge of HR best practices and current legal regulations.
· Ability to multi-task and manage to deadlines and budget parameters.
