Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Support all areas of the employment lifecycle, from recruiting, payroll to termination
Partner with management and employees in assigned locations to provide advice and counseling on performance management issues, conflict management, interpretation of employment policies
Supports benefit administration by answering employees questions, assisting during open enrollment and processing benefit invoices
Handle employee relations issues by conducting and documenting investigations and providing recommendation on corrective action and progressive discipline.
Administers employee Leaves (PDL, FMLA, CFRA) and ADA accommodations in accordance with applicable state, federal, and company policies
Manages unemployment and worker’s compensation claims and reporting
Support preparation and facilitation of annual performance review process
Maintains and updates employee HRIS information as needed and processes employee changes in ADP WFN.
Prepare and analyze various HRIS reports, metrics, and implement changes to continuously ensure efficiency and HR best practices.
Provides as needed training and development support to employees and Supervisors
Support and facilitate a broad array of HR initiatives including the implementation of programs and processes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Establish a human resources presence at assigned locations by travelling as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Educational and Experience Qualifications/Requirements:
2-4 years of Human Resources related experience
Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business or related field
PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred but not required.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Strong administrative writing skills and excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
Aptitude in problem solving. Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameter of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Ability to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent’s, and/or ratios.
Strong computer skills: must be proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to operate standard office equipment.
