What You Will Be Doing
Working in this position you will be responsible for the accounting functions essential to the operation of the Division of Forestry & Fire Protection’s (DOF) Northern Region, Forestry Program office. You will provide accounting support for the Area Forester, Resource Foresters, Regional staff and other Divisional Administrative staff. The duties for this position will be: providing accounting support, researching/processing/monitoring expenditures, preparing corrective documents, invoice coding/processing, payroll and back-up travel coordination.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be successful in this position include
One year of entry technical level accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Substitutions:
Certification as an Accounting Technician from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours in Accounting.

Education
