ACDS, Inc. is dedicated to providing lifetime resources and services of exceptional quality for children and adults with Down syndrome, Autism and other developmental disabilities.
The ACDS Westchester branch, located in Scarsdale, currently provides preschool special education programs consisting of 8:1:2 and 12:1:2 classes. ACDS Westchester is seeking an experienced and passionate preschool special education teacher to lead and instruct one of our classrooms.
30 hours per week, full-time position
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am to 3:00pm
Wednesday 8:30am to 3:30pm
Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm

‣‣‣Minimum of a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education AND a NYS Birth-Grade 2 Certification preferred!
‣‣‣Previous classroom experience required!
‣‣‣Strong written and verbal communication skills a must!
‣‣‣Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Feeding, diapering, toileting
- Instruction
- Creating lesson plans
- Leading classroom assistants
- Data collection
- Writing time-sensitive reports
- Communicating with parents
- Communicating with school districts
- Participating in CPSE meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
ACDS Westchester is following the ACDS reopening protocol (several additional measures have been added to keep the building sanitary), CDC guidelines and communicating closely with the Westchester Department of Health.
