As a corporate strategic partner, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated departments. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. Successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our Centers of Excellence (COE) to include OD, Benefits and Compensation departments. The HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
What You’ll Do
Acts as a strategic HR consultant and primary point of contact for employees and managers
Provides proactive coaching, consultation, and direction to management in areas of staffing, employee relations, policy administration, performance management, and overall organizational effectiveness (Re-orgs, Succession Planning/Talent Management, and Employee Engagement)
Manages and resolves employee relations issues by conducting thorough and timely investigations to resolution and debriefing to put into practice solutions that mitigate future concerns
Creates, recommends, and implements new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency
Supports staff hiring processes, including developing job descriptions, handling employment offers, and conducting new hire orientation and new leader training. Maintains appropriate human resources data and records, solving a range of straightforward problems using standard procedures
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
Builds and leverages trusting relationships with HR Account Teams and COEs
Performs other related work as needed
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or related work experience
Minimum of 3 years’ HRBP/Generalist experience
Proficiency with HRIS Software (Workday or any other similar HRIS systems)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Project management skills
Proven ability to develop effective business relationships across all levels of the organization
Ability to influence others through consultation and coaching
Successful and demonstrated HR experience with proven track record in compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution
Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
Excellent cross-functional collaboration
Be self-directed and motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
PHR/SPHR preferred
Experience with Workday
HR experience in a retail industry
Someone who has demonstrated experience supporting large number of stakeholders (100+)
Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues
Ability to manage multiple, complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently
Compensation Details:
$75000 to $85000 Per Year
