Advance Services, Inc Hiring for Customer Service Representative Job at Houston, TX Full Time

Plan, coordinate and administer import shipments as well as domestic orders

• Responsible for responding to client requests
• Manage daily workload to optimize shipment transport based on cost and transit time requirements Ensure shipments are scheduled and sequenced in a timely, accurate and efficient matter Keep all daily activities current in dispatch system
• Communicate timely and effectively with clients
• Work closely with warehouse personnel to determine feasibility to pick, pack, ship, delivery orders to meet client requirements
• Act as a liaison between field-based operations and office for purposes of ensuring accurate and timely communication of information
• Prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines
• Function effectively independently and in a team environment, i.e. work with little supervision
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal / external business partners
• Understand tariffs and quotes new shipments based on requirements and transit times required
• Openly and effectively communicate with all associates, vendors, and clients
• Manage large email volumes: 100+ received and 100+ sent daily
• Domestic US geography and city-to-city transit times for tractor-trailer loads
• Route inter-city shipments from multiple origin points to multiple destination points

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2-3 years of Customer Service experience REQUIRED
• Routing & dispatch experience REQUIRED
• Logistics experience REQUIRED
• Transportation industry experience REQUIRED
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must have excellent communication skills and be detailed and customer-oriented
