SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the HR Consultant, provides administrative assistance in matters pertaining to recruitment, labor relations, benefits, compensation, training and other related human resource areas.
This position is Monday-Friday (on-site). Hours 9:00am-2:00pm
Essential Functions
· Retrieves employee call-in information, prepares daily attendance reports and processes leave requests.
· Prepares payroll change forms to generate title changes and end of employment actions.
· Processes reports and documents pertaining to leave of absence programs, worker compensation and employment verification.
· Manages and oversees office record keeping and filing system and maintains necessary office supplies.
· · Coordinates temporary employees interviews, start and departure dates with Advanced Hood management and temporary staffing agencies.
· Reconciles and approves temporary worker time sheets and temporary agency invoices.
· Reconciles and processes HR resource materials for payment.
· Processes employee benefit forms and pension requests.
· Participates in new hire processing and orientation.
· Prepares position descriptions, human resource forms, employment advertisements, and internal job postings.
· Conducts employment, educational, and background reference checks as directed.
· Drafts HR related letters, faxes, memos and other correspondence.
· Creates presentation materials.
· Informs Director of upcoming meetings and assures required materials are prepared.
· Prepares and updates HR related files and records.
· Creates Excel spreadsheets containing human resources data, including employment status, grievances, workers compensation, FMLA and EEO
· · Responds to external employment availability inquiries.
· Places recruitment ads, posts internal job announcements and schedules candidates for interviews.
· Serves as assistant liaison to managers and employees on HR related issues.
· Maintains all pre-hire, new hire and benefit materials.
· Researches employment laws, regulations, and requirements using the Internet, law publications and human resources journals.
· Distributes and posts information for compliance with Federal and State notification requirements.
· Maintains HR records in compliance with Federal and State mandated record retention requirements.
· Maintains the HR training resource library and coordinates employee training.
· Assists in coordinating HR sponsored training and events.
· Represents the agency internally and externally as appropriate.
· Performs all duties in accordance with Advanced Hood policies.
