POSITION SUMMARY

Provides professional medical services in the community health center setting.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Work as the primary care OB/GYN health care provider in an outpatient Community Health setting
• Demonstrating the ability to provide health assessment, diagnosis and treatment in the ambulatory care setting.
• Demonstrating the ability to select medications appropriately and in accordance with pharmacy formulary.
• Demonstrating the ability to act in the best interest of the patient by providing information to make informed decisions in their care.
• Demonstrating the knowledge and skill to complete patient EMR charting daily with appropriate diagnosis and treatment codes daily.
• Obtaining an accurate medical, obstetrical, gynecological and psycho-social history of the present pregnancy and/or past pregnancies.
• Consistently demonstrating appropriate and thorough documentation in the medical record for care provided and recommended.
• Demonstrating the skills necessary to accurately code patient visits appropriately.
• Demonstrating the ability to understand the unique needs of the patient.
• Demonstrating appropriate clinical judgment in providing care by consulting/referring to the supervising physician, as needed.
• Maintaining and/or is available to meet productivity standard for number of patients seen in a timely manner.
• Managing the care of women during their pregnancy.
• Performing complete physical examinations including, as appropriate, the pap smear, breast examination, abdominal examination, pelvic examination and clinical pelvimetry.
• Consults with and obtains orders from an obstetrician for any special care or diagnostic procedure and refers to other services as necessary.
• Performs aesthetic procedures skillfully.

Education:
Current Florida ARNP license required

Experience:
Nurse Practitioner: 3+ years in Women’s Health
2+ Years in Primary Care

Job Type: Part-time, 3 days a week

Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
