Albany County Government Hiring for Assistant County Clerk at Laramie, WY Full Time

Albany County is seeking to hire an Assistant County Clerk. This is a full-time, benefited position. The Assistant County Clerk will perform routine and detailed clerical and customer service duties and responsibilities in support of the County Clerk’s Office; to provide information, process documents, maintain records, and respond to inquiries as well as administer the rules and regulations of the County Clerk’s Office and the statutes of the State of Wyoming. The position will remain open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of office/clerical experience.
• Must be Bondable.
• Excellent, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• A Typing test is required to be considered for this position. Typing tests are available at the following website https://www.typingtest.com/ OR the Laramie Workforce Center (3817 Beech Street, Suite 100, Laramie, WY 82070). The Assistant County Clerk is responsible for performing the following responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, implementing, and coordinating election related and administrative and fiscal activities in the administration of Federal, State, and local elections with the County Clerk.
• Ability to learn proprietary software and programs.
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the work of others involved in a variety of election operations.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of the election process within Albany County.

• Auto title functions and activities.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the transfer of legal ownership of personal property.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations for filing, perfecting, releasing and terminating liens.
• Knowledge of processes for microfilming, scanning, and transmitting documents.
• Terminating liens and performing full and partial releases of collateral.
• Liaising with various parties in relation to motor vehicle title activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $2,500.00 – $2,700/month
