We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to work alongside peer supervisors to oversee and coordinate ALDI payroll processing operations. A big part of your job will be to support and develop our payroll processors while working with them on daily operations and special projects. Our ideal candidate has experience in leadership and payroll administration and has a deep knowledge of payroll regulations. We also value integrity, optimism, customer service experience and strong organizational skills.

This role is eligible to participate in ALDIs Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week)
Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies best practices, reviews and suggests improvements to existing payroll procedures.
Provides input to their direct leader on hiring for positions reporting to them.
Informs management of major team milestones, developments, and concerns.
Maintains a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and keeps knowledge current through ongoing training.
Meets payroll operational standards by implementing and reviewing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards.
Operates as a subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve questions and issues.
Assists and supports team with calculations, deductions, wage garnishments, tax filings and other related matters.
Provides guidance and oversight to projects and process changes.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Ensures completion of payroll projects, presentations and reports as advised by their direct leader.
Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.
Assures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the business.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required.
A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Payroll required.
Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
