A successful candidate will be a detail oriented, team player who is deadline focused. The ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of needs in a timely fashion is a critical component. This position requires interaction with clients, carriers and internal colleagues across various departments. Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must.
This position handles the details of marketing a piece of business including the administrative responsibilities of obtaining the quote and creating an application to be marketed after a new a prospect has been generated. Relationship building with Producers, Account Executives, potential clients, carriers and wholesaler underwriters is a key aspect of this position. Must be able to quickly determine the information needed to properly underwrite the risk. An in-depth knowledge of what coverages are needed is vital. Focus is primarily on key renewals and new business, typically works on accounts with a premium of $75,000+. Exhibits leadership qualities and provides guidance and mentorship to the Associate staff and others.
This position can be based out of New York City or Melville, NY.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scanners, fax machines, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
