Boston Benefit Group, an Alera Group Agency LLC. is seeking a Benefits Analyst to join their Employee Benefits team.

• Work as an integral part of the client consulting team.
• Partner with consultants and senior consultants to assess client needs and help to implement clients’ strategies for their benefit programs including but not limited to group medical, dental, life, disability, leave management, spending accounts and voluntary/work-life benefit offerings.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients.
• Assist with preparation of client communications (e.g., presentations, spreadsheets, & reports)
• Facilitate the carrier/vendor marketing process (including preparing the Request for Proposal, working with the carriers/vendors to gather and negotiate quotes; compiling the analysis of the responses) and assist with the implementation of new vendors and/or carriers.
• Complete accurate financial reports and administrative tasks for the client team in a timely manner (e.g., monthly medical & dental claims experience reports and updating the client’s open items worksheet on a weekly basis).
• Prepare benchmarking reports and summarize findings.
• Prepare and/or review plan and other compliance documents.
• Provide support with the peer review process.
• Provide benefit enrollment support, including designing and drafting enrollment materials / communications and assisting with enrollment meetings as needed.
• Build relationships with clients, carriers/vendors and internal team members across both BBP and Alera.
• Mentor and contribute to the development of junior team members.

Required skills and experience:

• BA/BS
• Three to five years of experience
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Previous work experience in the benefits industry
• Previous client service and/or project management experience
