We have a newly created position that we are looking to fill. The HR and Talent Lead will lead and be the main contact for all HR and recruiting needs, being a partner and coach to all and responsible for managing our full cycle recruitment, from identifying potential hires to interviewing and evaluating candidates.
Your responsibilities include interacting with people, going to trade schools, going to supply houses, posting in FB groups, and sourcing candidates online. The HR and Talent Lead must have experience with various job interview formats, including phone screenings, group interviews (Zoom and in person), and can help us recruit faster and more effectively. Final Interviews will take place by the managers.
You will also be responsible for in house HR needs, compiling and keeping personnel records, coaching employees, writing Performance Improvement Plans and other related items. You will work closely with the Management and Executive Leadership teams, keeping them abreast of situations, along with recommendations. Additionally, being a neutral party and resource for all employees, answering questions and helping navigate their needs. This position will be one of the key contacts, working with our external HR partner for guidance and recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Basic knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information system.
Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence, FMLA.
Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, amount of sales, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
Lead and administer employee benefit programs and assist with worker’s compensation plans.
Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
Lead managers through required employee documentation and employee coaching, writing proper documentation, when necessary.
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
Recruiting, including job postings, interviewing, drafting job descriptions, offer letters, and scheduling onboarding appointments.
Prepare and set up for new employee orientations, onboarding
Monitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire.
Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events.
Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
2. Computer literate an dproficient using PrismHR, HiringThing, ServiceTitan, G-Suite, Zoom etc.
Experience using office machinery (fax, printer, copier, phone systems etc.).
Excellent customer service skills.
Organizedanddetail-oriented.
Outstanding communicator both verbally and written.
2+ Years working in Human Resources.
1+year working as a Professional HR Recruitment Specialist.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. 4+ years in Human Resources.
2. Current PHR or SPHR.
