Operations Manager – Construction Metal Fabrication – Base Salary to 95k/year – Denton, TX

Our client, a well-established Building Products Manufacturer is currently seeking an Operations Manager for their start-up location in the Denton area. Our client is an inspiring global leader in architectural building products with 70+ years of experience supporting a wide range of markets and building solutions.

In this role, the Operations Manager needs to be an inspiring and action-oriented leader that will implement systems/ processes to improve the quality and efficiency of operations, provide technical and managerial support to Supervisors and Hourly employees to ensure the production of quality products on a timely basis for customers. This position will collaborate across company departments assisting divisional Operations Manager to make decisions for site specific issues.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of manufacturing management experience for metal fabrication, including mig welding
• Lean Manufacturing Knowledge and an ability to implement Lean methodology
• Effective leadership /supervisory skills including over: hiring, retention, motivation / coaching, performance review, training, and discipline
• Sound management judgment and strategic business view
• Ability to effectively solicit and apply feedback from SME’s and team members
• Measurement of performance to goals and standards including utilization of reporting and dashboards
• An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations

Compensation for this role is in the 85k – 95k/year range depending on candidate experience and fit to role + discretionary bonus eligible.
