AllSTEM Connections Hiring for HR Generalist at Chicago, Illinois Full Time

Qualifications:
• Master•s degree required in a related field
• Certification related programs preferred with experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required to demonstrate understanding in groups of people and one-on-one
• Some evening/weekend work required

Responsibilities:
• Administer staff hiring processes, including writing job descriptions, interviewing, reference checking, employment offers, orientation, etc.
• Counsels employees on benefits and compensation in partnership with HRS. Manage and coordinate student employment process
• Process employment modifications, including salary changes, promotions, and terminations.
• Manage and coordinate the payroll process
• Work with both HRS and the Payroll Office to investigate and resolve employee payroll discrepancies
• Develop and maintain personnel files and employment records
• Maintain an understanding and interpret policies, procedures, regulations and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources
• Support the HR Team in new initiatives, including professional development, training, employee
• Assist with other tasks and special projects as needed
