The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for designing and completing all elements of the company’s internal audit plan. This responsibility includes developing the internal audit scope, performing the audit testing and preparing audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. The audit scope concentrates on functional and operational units, with a particular focus on security and confidentiality, and availability. Audits of HIPAA requirements and the Risk Management Program are also within scope.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare an annual internal audit plan and schedule of activities
• Plan, perform and report on the evaluation of general controls and various business processes.
• Effectively communicate issues and recommendations to management
• Manage the Security Awareness Program.
• Complete or supervise select, recurring non-audit activities.
• Assist external auditors with fieldwork and completion of the SOC 2 type II Report.

Requirements:

• Private industry experience with knowledge of information systems, internal auditing standards and general controls, particularly security, confidentiality and availability.
• Ability to work independently, with periodic direction and guidance.
• Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present issues and recommendations to management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required; MS Access Professional experience is a plus.
• CIA or CISA designation desirable but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,500.00 – $78,000.00 per year
