Alter Health Group is seeking a results-driven and ethical Human Resources Manager with strong leadership skills to manage and improve the efficiency of our organization’s process and protocol. Alter Health Group has facilities located in Irvine and Dana Point, CA. This innovative, evidence-based treatment program is specifically designed to treat primary mental health diagnoses including ASD, co-occurring disorders, and Substance Use Disorder. Position Summary
The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing overall human resources generalist support for the facility, which includes recruiting for vacant positions, facilitating general employee orientations, maintaining all personnel records and files, facilitating employee benefits enrollment, providing guidance and support to supervisors with respect to employee performance management; responding to unemployment compensation correspondence, and organizing all employee activities and in-services.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the CEO, provides daily management and supervision of Human Resources functions for Alter Health Group. Assists management in identifying and maintaining optimal employee performance and engagement. Ensures all assigned employee transactions are accurately recorded within the HR system. Coordinates payroll process at the local level. Serves as liaison between Alter Health Group facility staff and Alter Health Group Corporate Office regarding HR-related projects and/or issues. Acts as HR resource to Alter Health Group Leadership Team and mentor to HR staff.
Qualifications
Education: BBA Degree with Major in Human Resource Management is or related field is required as deemed appropriate by the CEO. Current HRCI or SHRM certification is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in Human Resources in a healthcare facility with exposure to Joint Commission, DHCS, and DSS. Must have previous Supervisory or Manager-Level experience. Must be familiar with CA HR Laws.
Additional Requirements: Must have a good understanding of HR related Joint Commission, DHCS, and DSS Standards and be familiar with the Joint Commission, DHCS, and DSS Survey process. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient computer knowledge, in Word and Excel, and ability to prepare HR reports. Expertise in benefits administration, Employee Relation functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
