Responsibilities:
Ø Manage the new hire process, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding
Ø Coordinate onboarding process and work space for all new employees
Ø Provide new employee orientation including presentation on process, policies and procedures
Ø Provide training to new employees on various Firm platforms
Ø Assist in the new hire document process and maintain personnel files
Ø Manage Benefit Enrollment programs
Ø Address various personnel issues (e.g. employee issues, unemployment compensation, etc.)
Ø Prepare bi-monthly payroll and reconcile with Paychex
Ø Schedule initial and annual reviews
Ø Update and maintain all organization job descriptions
Ø Oversee various insurances, including health, dental, life, disability, workers’ compensation, etc.
Ø Ensure Firm’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Ø Become familiar with the Firm’s policies and procedures
Ø Assist in other administrative duties as needed
Ø Maintain positive staff and client relations
Physical Demands of the Position:
Ø This position is somewhat sedentary. The employee will be required to lift client files that can weigh 5 – 10 pounds, boxes of files for off-site shipment may weigh up to 40 pounds, and the use of a laptop for meetings may weigh up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment:
Ø Most work will be performed in the office in a safe, well-lit, well-ventilated building with steps leading to the other floors.
Requirements:
Ø Knowledge of HR related concepts, regulations, basic employment laws
Ø Confidentiality in all work and the ability to remain objective and independent
Ø Work as a team member
Ø Computer literate with high level of Excel and Word skills
Ø Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ø Organized, decisive, and establish work priorities and deadlines
Ø Work independently to complete assignments
Ø Ability to handle multiple tasks in a time-sensitive manner
Ø Weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
