Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry. This Associate Corporate Counsel role can be based in Santa Monica, CA; Arlington, VA; or New York, NY.
This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and will support a number of specialist sales and business development teams within AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services. This role will guide and counsel internal business partners on a variety of complex legal issues; structure, draft, and negotiate agreements and program documents; and drive process-oriented improvements.
The successful candidate has excellent communication skills and organizational skills. They are enthusiastic about technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. They are able to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate works well within a large legal team, but is also able to work independently.
We hire attorneys with experience in a variety of practice areas, including (but not limited to) litigators, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, technical transactions, intellectual property, telecommunications, real estate, products, regulatory compliance, and privacy. We don’t expect every applicant to have experience working with cloud computing and we are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team. Most importantly, we hire smart people of all backgrounds and experiences who demonstrate leadership and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
At AWS Legal, we embrace our differences, and are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.
