Job Description The Sales Planner position is responsible for generating, analyzing and communicating sales proposals to the Commercial Revenue & Partnerships team for presentation to advertising agencies and/or clients. This position will liaise across all media platforms & departments to create sponsorship opportunities. Additional responsibilities include stewardship and posting of linear and digital deals as well as performing ad hoc analyses. This position also works with Sales and the client to resolve deal billing issues & discrepancies. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create linear and digital media plans based on pricing and planning direction. Maximize linear and digital revenue potential given marketplace and inventory conditions. Track individual deal delivery and prepare ADU schedules when liability exists. Ensure marketing opportunities are executed properly. Mentor & participate in the development of Sales Assistants. Assist Pricing & Inventory as well as Commercial Revenue Sales teams in ad hoc projects and analyses. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Sales Directors: Effectively create media schedules based off of planning specifications from clients. On-Air Operations: Work closely with all members of the department regarding the timing and execution, and expected delivery of all on-air elements; that meet the log deadlines. Manager, Credit & Collections: Coordinate approvals of all media plans and effectively review all outstanding invoices. QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred) Management Skills Well-organized and time managed. Fostering teamwork. Problem solver. Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing the necessary attention to detail. Strong math and written/oral communication skills. Technical/Functional Competencies Knowledge of media math (CPM, reweights, rating calculations) Create seamless workarounds when the operational process needs tweaking. Ability to work with sales planning and C-post systems Key Experiences/Achievements College degree (Communications, Marketing, Economics or Business Administration preferred) with a minimum 1.5+ years of prior agency/media experience.
