Job Description Summary:
Provides support to the business unit in recruiting, administration, and training. As required, assist and support onboarding, payroll processing, attendance, and other related administrative responsibilities. Making recommendations on employee issues, recruiting, turnover, or training.
Job Duties:
· Recruiting Efforts: Working with HR Manager and plant team to formulate a staffing strategy plan including:
o Job Postings
o Job Fairs (internal and external)
o Sourcing and screening candidates
o Extending offers, BGC, DT, and physicals
· Participates in the New Hire Orientation and employee experience.
· Audit timeclock records for accuracy and sends them to accounting for processing.
· Maintains daily all associate attendance information.
· Records and updates employee information such as personal data, training, compensation, benefits, and termination dates and reason.
· Maintain employee files, document personnel actions, and provide information for payroll and other uses.
· Collects information and prepares special reports when required.
· Assist in maintaining the job posting system, including formulating the posting and keeping the communication board up to date.
· Producing required monthly reports as assigned.
· Assist in providing required new articles for the newsletter.
· Learns the Union Contracts and uses the information to make decisions within the contract’s confines.
· Assist in the collection of data for audits
· Keep hourly Skills Matrix current.
· Other duties as assigned by your manager
Education and Required Skills & Experience:
Five years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting payroll, employee documentation, and maintaining confidential information. This position requires high attention to detail, the ability to work in ambiguous situations, and little direction to get things done. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is highly recommended. The ability to work in high-pressure situations with tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude is a must for this role. Must be able to work with a team. Knowledge of WorkDay and Plex programs for Human Resources processes and timekeeping is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
