Based on education, experience and interview, this opportunity will be filled either as:
Compensation Consultant (grade 7); OR,
Compensation Analyst Sr. (grade 6)
Supports the implementation and administration of comprehensive compensation programs. This includes market pricing jobs, participating in salary surveys, maintaining job descriptions and job code tables, and supporting the company’s recognition programs. This position will perform various analytical and administrative tasks in coordination with Compensation Consultants, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Payroll and Field Human Resources (HR) and ensure compliance with compensation policies and practices. The Senior Compensation Analyst will also work directly with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion group to ensure our total compensation programs support internal and external pay equity and programs that attract and retain talented and diverse employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:
Partners with HR business partners and business unit leaders on the development and review of job descriptions.
Maintains and audits job title and job code database to ensure compliance with internal practices and accuracy of EEOC codes and exemption status.
Evaluates positions to determine accurate market competitive pay, internal grading, and compliance with FLSA laws.
Participates in annual general industry and energy services salary surveys.
Provide guidance to field HR, Talent Acquisition, and leaders on routine job offers to ensure fairness and internal equity.
Works with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on annual pay equity studies. Provides analysis and helps determine any corrective course of action.
Assist in recognition program administration and reporting to include cash, gift cards, and long-term equity awards.
Supports the annual compensation planning process. Partner with field HR to provide guidance to leaders on applying manager discretion to salary increases and incentives. Assists with reporting and audits to ensure recommendation are within company policies and practices.
Works with our third-party stock administrator to ensure annual grants, special equity, dividends and other equity related activities are performed accurately and on time.
Assist compensation team with special projects or emergent activities such as those related to acquisitions or divestitures.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate’s degree in business administration, human resources management, industrial management or an equivalent discipline.
Experience: Two (2) years of human resources experience required; one (1) year of compensation experience. Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills in the use of spreadsheet, database and word processing software required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
World at Work designation as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
Familiarity with various wage and hour laws.
Physical demand level is Sedentary
