In this role, you will be responsible for partnering and building strong relationships with leaders and key decision makers at South Carolina Manufacturing (SCM) and SCM business units to achieve business success by supporting the manufacturing needs through HR initiatives. The position takes a holistic approach to proactively identify HR Operation issues, resolving business challenges, and partnering with HR function groups to propose solutions. This role will also have a leadership role to help support the HR function groups at South Carolina Mfg (SCM) by providing guidance and solutions to their daily challenges. Ensure manufacturing HR Operations support is meeting day-to-day needs by proactively engaging with the HR function groups (AR, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development & Training, Benefits, etc.) to resolve issues/concerns from the plant and drive talent development and workforce initiatives
In close partnership with HR Business Partner, applies high-level of understanding of all areas of HR programs to drive site consistency and standardization of HR policies and processes
Mentor SCM HR team members and provide guidance on navigating day-to-day business operations, serve as sounding board on how to navigate unique scenarios and provide education on manufacturing needs uniqueness
Collaborate, participate and/or lead project teams (pay equity, total rewards, manpower, policies, and performance mgmt.) ensuring voice of customer is represented, balancing multiple perspectives, and considering downstream impact to organization and key HR processes and systems
We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Site Lead you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Related field, HR Certification desired
Minimum 6 years of progressive HR Operations, HR Generalist or HRBP role
Must have a broad understanding of HR employment law knowledge
Strong conflict resolution, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to deal with conflict and empowerment to escalate
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making
Strong understanding of Manufacturing environment
