About this Position:
In this regional role, for Honda U.S. Talent Acquisition, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert of the new hire onboarding experience. As the SME, you will coach, and informally lead, a team of 6 onboarding specialists who provide a high-quality onboarding experience to all new hires. The onboarding team is responsible for successfully onboarding new hires which includes – scheduling/initiating pre-employment screenings, collecting required paperwork, while maintaining necessary compliance and document retention. At times, this group communicates with new hires, hiring managers, compensation, and recruiters. Must be able to influence process improvements while ensuring consistency and timeliness of all aspects of onboarding new hires. Own the candidate experience to achieve the “wow”.
Responsibilities include:
Coach a team of Honda Associates as well as contingent associates to ensure a customer centric approach to Onboarding.
Be an innovator regarding “Easy to Do Business With” mindset to ensure the ease in which new hires complete the onboarding process.
Communicate effectively and with a sense of urgency when necessary to recruiters and hiring managers.
Evaluate and report key metrics to map overall success of Honda’s Onboarding process – identify gaps and countermeasures
Liaise with TA Onboarding Manager to identify areas for improvements as it relates to process flow, new hire experience and vendor interaction.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as TA Unit Leads to ensure staffing levels are appropriate for volume of new hires.
Responsible for hiring and training new team members as necessary.
Analyze results from experience and decline surveys to drive continuous improvement within the onboarding process
Manage the New Hire Welcome Gifts & Referral Bonus Programs and related budget
Adhere to all applicable state and federal employment laws as well as Honda U.S. policies and practices
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE (CUSTOMER FACING ROLE STRONGLY PREFERRED)
1+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITHIN TALENT ACQUISITION
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent relevant work experience
