Title of Job: Onboarding Specialist
Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Office Manager
Summary of Position: The Onboarding Specialist will assist with the recruitment and talent selection process for various positions within the company as well as subcontractor partners to ensure Ameritech is attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing, diverse, and successful workforce as well as being fluent in English and Spanish. The position is responsible for sourcing subcontractors, coordinating recruiting efforts, onboarding employees, and onboarding/training subcontractors. This position will also be involved in the development and maintenance of a subcontractor database.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Support Human Resources processes and business requirements including recruiting/sourcing, screening, selection, onboarding, training, and scheduling employees and subcontractors
Working unsupervised to effectively manage open positions and recruit for business needs
Attend meetings with managers to gain understanding of business needs
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements
Maintain databases to report on recruitment and employment related statistics and to help source for business needs
Travel to areas in need of staffing to assist in recruitment efforts as needed
Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Knowledge of construction trades (to have understanding of staffing skills needed)

Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with individuals at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
Prior experience with construction, recruitment, and/or interviewing
18 years of age or older
Must be able to pass a drug test
Must be able to pass a background check
